The steps leading up to the monument on Czcibor Hill.
This location in western Pomerania is named after a 10th century 'prince' called Czcibor who was a younger brother of the first Christian ruler of Poland - Mieszko I.
On top of the hill at Czcibor is a 15-metre high monument (shown in the photograph above) with the inscription in Polish and Russian: "This monument was built on the 1000th anniversary of the victorious battle of Cedynia fought in defence of Polish lands on the Oder and the Baltic Sea by Mieszko I and his brother Czcibor.
