Harvest Festival in Poland

Dozynki harvest festival celebrations take place all over Poland from mid August to early September every year. This photograph was taken at a harvest festival in Bledzew, Lubuskie, Poland and shows a Wieniec (harvest wreath) made from a mixture of corn, wheat, rye and flowers. In this part of Poland local villages compete against each other in making the best harvest wreaths.
