Topic: Free Online Translators

Here are a few online translators if you're in need for a quick, rough translation.

e-DICT
Very good for 'one worders' and slang words.

Poltran
Not very good for translating big chunks of information. Better to use as an online dictionary rather than a translator.
Occasionally, can be quite slow.

Wydawnictwo Naukowe PWN
In my opinion, the best online translator. Great for translating chunks of information, but not always accurate.
Can translate entire webpages.

If you are not in a hurry there is one site which offers a completely FREE human translation of short texts up to five words long.

http://www.endlezz.be/polish-english-dictionary.pdf
If you are in need of a Polish -> English dictionary, download one (in PDF format) on Endlezz's website.

Re: Free Online Translators

PolishDictionary. info

This is a 'Wiki' site, where users can contribute their own phrases, grammar, and cultural tips. It currently has nearly 3,000 words.

One other useful feature here is that you don't always need to spell using the Polish characters. So, for example, searching for 'czesc' will find 'cześć', unlike most dictionaries.

Admin Edit: Unfortunately, it looks like this site no longer exists. Blowski, what happened?

Re: Free Online Translators

It is very difficult to speak about translators in general (mostly bad all of them), yet for some specific purpose and a specific language one might find "good enough" translators. Feel free to contact me in case you need further help.

by the way Google translator is the best translator
