Re: i want to learn polish

Hi translationman.
Polish language is still not very popular as a foreign language so I am affraid there aren't any online courses... You have to relay on books or language classes. I can offer you my help in learning, but I'm not a language teacher. I'd be a more help in practicing...

Re: i want to learn polish

I used to live in Poland and it's definitely a hard language to learn. But, once you can get the basics down, you will start picking it up more quickly.

Re: i want to learn polish

Polish is often said to be one of the most difficult languages for English speakers to learn. By reading the written phrases, then listening to each Polish language phrase pronounced by a native Polish speaker, you will be learning to speak Polish language.

Re: i want to learn polish

I would also like to learn Polish and I wonder is it better to hire a Polish teacher or participate in a Polish course? One of my friends recommended me the Polish course in Poland. I'm thinking about going to Poland during summer holidays. Has anyone of you been to a Polish course in Poland? What are your impressions after the course?

Re: i want to learn polish

How to Study the Polish Language?

The Republic of Poland, in the center of Europe, is home to over 38 million residents. Polish is the national language. Due to its rich history, Polish contains words from a number of languages, including German, Russian and English. The Polish alphabet contains six more letters than the English alphabet and does not use the letters q, v and x. English speakers may find pronouncing words with unfamiliar letters challenging, but this is to be expected when learning a new language. With dedication and daily practice, anyone can learn to speak Polish

Instructions

Choose a method of learning the Polish language from the various options. For instance, you could take a Polish language class at a traditional school or online, purchase learning tools like CDs or books, or hire a tutor.

Begin by learning the basic aspects of Polish. Become familiar with the 32 letters of the alphabet, which contains 9 vowels and 23 consonants, and learn some basic phrases.

Listen to audio clips of people speaking Polish to become familiar with the general tone of the language. It may be helpful to watch videos of Polish speakers to watch the movements of their mouths as they speak.

Practice the Polish words and phrases you are learning. It is best to say them aloud instead of reading them silently. This helps you learn to say them correctly and commit them to memory, according to Columbia University. Write down the words and phrases you are learning to increase the speed at which you memorize them.

Practice what you are learning with Polish speakers or others who are also learning the language. This helps you become fluent in the language faster.

Re: i want to learn polish

Hello everyone!
My name's Marcin and I'm 20 year old student from Poland. A few weeks ago I started learning English so I'm a beginner and I would like to build my skills by talking with someone in this language. If someone can help me with English, I can teach her/him Polish language.
I think that at the beginning we should write e-mails (my mail: marcinskorupski@yahoo.com), but after some time we could talk via skype (marcin.skorupski1991).
