Geocaching Adventures in Poland
GPS Geocaching is relatively new to Poland, but for those eager to discover unexplored parts of Poland it can prove a very worthwhile and interesting activity. This photo shows the location near Skwierzyna of one such geocache. What is Geocaching? Geocaching is a high-tech outdoor treasure-hunting game in which the participants use a handheld GPS Global Positioning System receiver or other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers (called geocaches, caches,or stashes) in out of the way places. A typical treasure cache is a small waterproof container containing a logbook and some sort of 'treasure'. Geocachers log their finds and make comments on caches on one of two or three geocaching websites. More about Geocaching in Poland.
