Kayaking and Canoeing in Poland
Back to Guided
Tours of Poland

Canoeing and kayaking are popular leisure
activities in Poland.
There are almost 10,000 kilometres of rivers and lakes of Poland, and
many of these waterways make for great canoeing and kayaking. All Polish
rivers are public rights of way in Poland, so unlike
for example, the United Kingodom, access to
the water is not an issue for canoes and
kayaks in
Poland. The Lubuskie Lake
District and the rivers of the west of Poland offer some of the best kayaking in
Poland. Visitors to Poland can take part in guided adventure kayak and canoe tours or hire kayaks and canoes, and
kayaking or canoeing equipment. This kind of activity holiday is perfect
for the more adventurous and independently
minded traveller. If you are interested in a holiday with a difference
in Poland, think canoe and kayak! Four of the best rivers in Poland for kayaking
and canoeing enthusiasts are the river Obra,
Warta river, River
Notec, and river Drawa. Other
rivers suitable for canoeing and kayaking include the River Odra, River Postomia,
Czarna Hancza
River, Brda River and the Krutynia River. Canoeing and Kayaking links: Canoe

Hans: the River Obra in
Lebus is in my opinion the
best river in central and Eastern Europe for canoe campers. An
undiscovered canoe camping paradise! Second best is the River Drawa in
Pommern. Followed by the Warta, west of
Miedzychod.
