Prehistoric Archaeology Poland

Photo coming soon!

There are several prehistoric megalithic chambered tombs and stone megaliths in and around the Stargard and Przelewice (Prillwitz) area, in the province of Zachodniopomorskie (Western Pomerania / Pommern), Western Poland.

Our favourite sites include:

The remains of a long barrow and chambered tomb in Borkowo.

Two prehistoric / Bronze age chambered tombs near Karsko.

These and other interesting archaeological sites were first surveyed and recorded in detail by the German prehistorian Ernst Sprockhoff who invented the Sprockhoff numbering system for megalithic monuments still in use to this day.
