A PKP ST43 diesel locomotive crossing the level crossing just outside the village of Sobczyce, near Glogow. Note the woman holding the flag standing outside the crossing hut. The same scene involving a railway worker and flag can be seen throughout Poland's railway network. One can only imagine what this example of overmanning must cost an already loss-making Polish national rail company.
