Swierkocin
Bringing in the hay in Swierkocin during the summer of 2003. Life for farmers in this part of Poland has changed little since it became part of Poland in 1945, and methods are much the same as would have been employed during hundreds of years of Prussian history. Swierkocin is a small village around 20 kilometres west of the city of Gorzow. A small Safari Zoo is located on the edge of the village where visitors can view animals like lamas, gnus, camels and antelopes walking almost freely around a 10 hectare site.
